Manzanares Family

Well it has been a long year and I have not been keeping up on our blog. In the past year we welcomed a new baby to our family, her name is Tenlee. She was born on July 24th at 9:30 p.m. she weighed 5 lbs 15 oz and was 19 inches long. She had a rough start and was in the NICU for 3 days. She is now almost 3 months old and doing great.

Tenlee the night she was born in the NICU

This is Tenlee now with her big sister and brother.

We also had a scare this year with the Herriman Fire. We were evacuated from our home, that was a scary feeling to not know if you are going to have a house or not. The fire stopped about 100 yards away from our house.

This is the day we were evacuating.

This is the mountain by our house, this is what we see when we look out the front window.

We just got home from hunting in the LaSal Mountains. We had a lot of fun. This is one of my favorite trips. Ricky shot a 4 point and it made his day. The kids were so excited when their dad came back to camp with a deer, I was trying to get them ready for bed and I barley got them dressed before they ran out the door. We also went fishing and caught 7 fish. Taya cleaned and gutted her first fish. Jaxton caught his first fish with his cars fishing pole, he was excited.

Fast Pitch Softball Nationals

Ricky's fast pitch softball team WON the National Championship in Nebraska. We are so proud of him. They have worked really hard to go to Nationals and win, and they did it.

Lake Powell 2009

We just had our annual Manzanares Lake Powell trip. It was some much fun. Taya and Jaxton look forward to it every year. It was perfect weather and the water was great. The kids played in the water all day and never wanted to go back to the trailer. We wish we could make it down there more than once a year. We look forward to next year.

4th of July 2009

Every year over the 4th of July we go to Scofield with family and friends. This year Taya and Jaxton rode in the fire truck and threw candy in the parade. On Saturday it rained during the fireworks and we had to sit in the truck to watch them. I don't ever remember it raining during the fireworks. It was a very fun filled weekend and we look forward to it again next year.

Night out to the Supercross

Finally after 5 long years the Supercross came back to Salt Lake City.  The kids went crazy when dad came home the tickets a month ago, as they wanted to go watch the races that night.  Finally the day came and of course the weather was cold and wet.  We still had a blast though even though our rider Chad Reed only took second place.
